RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Brazil Senior Surveyor to join its office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil within the Marine Americas Region Division.

 

Mission


To conduct the assessment and inspection of ships and other marine structures during construction and in operation, ensuring compliance with Class requirements, statutory regulations, and any other applicable standards.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Act as a professional specialist for the organization in applying related rules, regulations, requirements, concepts, principles, and processes.
  • Prepare and maintain technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and assessments.
  • Perform routine inspections on classed ships, platforms, or other marine structures at manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with classification and statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on various projects and tasks.
  • Work closely with senior professionals to gain practical experience in the field.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or similar.
  • Significant experience in marine vessel or structure inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of classification rules, statutory regulations, and related technical requirements.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
