#RINA is currently recruiting to join a prestigious international Oil&Gas Project: Piping Supervisor 

 

Location: Ravenna

Duration: 12 months (at least)

Experience: more than 15 years of experience in a similar role in O&G sector 

 

EDUCATION:

 
- Technical High School Diploma 
- University Degree in mechanical field will be a plus

 

SKILLS and CERTIFICATION:

 

- Good knowledge (spoken and written) of foreign languages (preferable English, French or Spanish) 
including technical dictionary will be a plus.
- Good knowledge in the use of PC including software and applications (e.g. Windows, Office)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; 
- Knowledge of the International Quality Standards and applicable design and construction norms and 
standards.
- Knowledge and experience of the major standards applied to Oil &Gas projects (e.g. EEMUA, API, ISO 
EN, ASME, AWS, Customer Standards, etc.);

 

DUTIES 

 

- Supervise Contractor’s piping construction activities on site, verifying piping works (bolted and welded 
piping fabrication, erection, installation and testing) are carried out in compliance with project drawings, 
specifications and applicable international codes and standards.
- Ensuring that Contractors’ duties are performed by competent and experienced personnel and in 
sufficient numbers to achieve objectives, promptly advising the Customer’s Interface of any areas of 
concern. 
- Ensuring that construction activities are performed in the highest HSE standards, cooperating closely 
with the Customer and Contractors HSE staff, managing monitoring, reporting and acting to constantly 
maintain the highest HSE standards, and promoting internally and externally the HSE culture. 
- Managing, monitoring and reporting the Technical Progress vs Construction Schedules and Look-ahead, 
highlighting delays, reasons of delays and possible remedial actions.
- Participating actively in construction meetings with Contractors.
- Reviewing and commenting on documentation produced by Contractors (e.g. technical reports, 
specifications, procedures, methods statement, drawings, TQ, CR etc…) ensuring implementation of 
established procedures and good engineering practice.
- Ensuring the all the documentation relevant to construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning 
phases is produced by Contractors in compliance with all required technical standards, highlighting any discrepancy to Contractors relevant staff and Company departments and line managers, being the 
diligent part for obtaining from Contractors remedial and recovery actions.
- Ensuring appropriate technical support to line managers and Company departments in decision making 
for any change proposals/requests.
- Expediting with Contractors material delivery, distribution and availability in accordance with planned 
activities, highlighting to Contractors’ Construction any delay, non compliance, low quality, etc.
- Verifying that utilized bulk materials are in compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Performing punching of Piping System for Mechanical Completion before Hydro-test and then after final 
reinstatement. Including Flange Management.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting and technical solutions.
- Validating piping mechanical works progress.
- Assuring Piping mechanical works punch lists are properly detected, integrated within the Mechanical 
Completion master punch list and cleared.
