#RINA is currently recruiting to join a prestigious international Oil&Gas Project: Materials Specialist
Location: Ravenna
Duration: 12 months (at least)
Experience: more than 15 years of experience in a similar role in O&G sector
EDUCATION:
- Technical High School Diploma
- University Degree in Electrical field will be a plus
SKILLS and CERTIFICATION:
- Good knowledge (spoken and written) of foreign languages (preferable English, French or Spanish)
including technical dictionary will be a plus.
- Good knowledge in the use of PC including software and applications (e.g. Windows, Office)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Knowledge of the International Quality Standards and applicable design and construction norms and
standards.
- Knowledge and experience of the major standards applied to Oil &Gas projects (e.g. EEMUA, API, ISO
EN, ASME, AWS, Customer Standards, etc.);
DUTIES
- Supervising of contracts allocated to him. He is also responsible for Interfacing and scheduling of
material to be delivered to field.
- Performing technical evaluation of suppliers’ proposal for the purchase of mechanical parts, valves,
piping, flanges, fittings, special parts, to evaluate compliance to Customer specifications/requirements.
- Interfacing with Vendor/Contractor as necessary to ensure Customer objectives are achieved with
respect to quality and schedule requirement.
- Monitoring and controlling project engineering standards.
- Monitoring of Planning Activities.
- Ensuring correct interfacing to other projects and facilities.
- Tracking and approval of progress reporting.
- Monitoring of costs for various contracts through Contract Administrators.
- Establishing and managing documentation between parties.
- Reviewing and administering progress and status reports.
- Contributing to strategies for storage, preservation and transportation.
- Verifying that Contractors material traceability and inspection/testing documentation is properly
developed in accordance with the Project procedures. Verifying materials correlation with certificates and
compliance with codes and approved specifications. Reviewing the material list for the work pack with
respect to the Isometric Drawing definition description.
- Monitoring Suppliers/Contractors works for compliance to ensure that all required NDT examination are
carried out by the Contractor in accordance to the approved ITP, reviewing and approving the reports issued.
- Ensuring that the respective NDT level inspectors witness UT and review Radiographic films where
required by the ITP ensuring that NDT results meet the specified requirements.
- Coordinating and inspecting the piping mechanical arrangement and alignment are in line with the
design parameters definition requirements. Monitoring the final visual and dimensional checks of
completed piping systems.
