RINA is currently recruiting for a HR Generalist to join its office in Piraeus within the Global Human Resources Division.

Mission

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for employees and managers for a wide variety of HR topics, in the designated area, offering professional support and advice on day to day HR operations both to managers and employees, as well as on HR projects on corporate level.  

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Supporting the Head of HR to implement the HR strategy at a local level and ensuring the global HR calendar of activities is achieved within timelines; 
  • Performing a range of HR processes, from onboarding to offboarding, which promotes a positive and consistent employee experience; 
  • Manage Employee lifecycle queries, preparing the necessary documents starting from hiring, job changes, until termination of individual labour contract – execution of the entire process for compliance with local laws and company policies and standards; 
  • Responsible for maintaining the employee database in the system and all employees’ records and personnel files, both electronically and physically, as required by local rules and regulations; 
  • Providing effective first level advice and guidance to colleagues in relation to any concern related to HR matters, in order to support colleagues & managers and maintain governance frameworks; 
  • Effective and regular communication and engagement activities to maintain a positive colleague experience; 
  • Act as first point of contact with Unemployment office, Local Labour & Retirement Authorities; 
  • Coordinates full payroll process including collection, processing and verification of payroll data, working together with internal and external contributors; 
  • Support the recruitment process as and when required; 
  • Release any documents / certificates requested by employees (medical, banks, school / kindergarten, visa, etc,); 
  • Benefit administration: meal tickets, pension scheme, medical plan, death and disability insurance, by keeping close relationship with local HR providers, negotiating good prices vs services, monitoring the market and makes proper proposals for new suppliers when/if the case; 
  • Constantly monitors the HR market, being up to date with local legislative changes, knowing HR best practices and trends in terms of compensation and benefits, being capable to draft proposals for effective implementation; 
  • Hands-on approach on HR projects (Performance Management, Salary Review, Engagement Survey, and any other HR project), being able to roll them out at local level and give a proper support to employees, as well as having an important contribution in delivering correct feedback to the relevant corporate structure managing such processes. 

 

What we are looking for

Qualifications 

  • Degree/diploma in psychology, economics or business management; HR specialization is a plus 
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek labour legislation 
  • Good knowledge of HR related functions and processes  and local HR best practices - Experience as HR generalist role / HR Business Partner for at least 3-5 years in a multinational environment 
  • Experience with HR systems (HR databases, payroll applications) 
  • Good working knowledge of English 
  • MS office proficiency – Excel, PowerPoint
