RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Training Centre Consultant to join its office in Piraeus within the Open Innovation Hubs Division.​

Mission

 

The Marine Training Centre Consultant plays an important role in shaping the education and training landscape within the maritime industry, ensuring that professionals receive high-quality and up-to-date training in compliance with classification society standards.  #LI-DP1

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Coordinate the implementation and ongoing management of the Learning Management System (LMS) platform, ensuring successful integration and operational readiness.
  • Design, develop, and delivery of high-impact training programs for external maritime professionals, ensuring alignment with client needs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop engaging, regulation-compliant training materials, presentations, e-learning content, and supporting documentation covering a broad range of maritime topics.
  • Coordinate and facilitate interactive workshops, seminars, and training sessions, both virtually and on-site.
  • Manage the marine training calendar and oversee course scheduling and administration.
  • Administer the training platform, including participant registration, attendance, evaluations, and feedback.
  • Continuously review and update course content to reflect regulatory changes, emerging industry trends, and industry best practices.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities for training programs through email marketing campaigns, brochures, website content, and social media to increase visibility, generate leads, and boost course enrollment.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in training coordination, learning & development, maritime education, or a related role.
  • Fluency in English and Greek, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
  • Previous experience with a classification society, shipping company or maritime education institution is considered an advantage.
  • Experience designing and delivering professional training programs and learning materials.
  • Knowledge of the maritime industry, including relevant regulations, classification standards, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage with different stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple training programs and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating virtual and in-person training events and managing participant administration.
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools, e-learning platforms, and online collaboration technologies.
  • Experience with email marketing, social media, or training promotion is an advantage.
  • Proactive, customer-focused, and collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement approach.
