Greece Stability and Load Line Plan Approval Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Greece Stability and Load Line Plan Approval Engineer to join its office in Greece within the South Europe Marine Division.
Mission
This role focuses on supporting the elaboration of detailed plan and design reviews, resolving issues related to conflicting design requirements, ensuring client requirements and applicable standards are met. Projects could include the drawings/studies approval of new buildings, conversions and modifications on existing vessels and yachts.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out the approval of drawings and studies, in compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations, for new buildings, ships in service, and ships modifications/conversions.
- Assist clients during the design and construction phase, providing guidance and support related to stability and load line aspect.
- Verify designs meet Class Society rules (e.g., IACS), national/international statutory regulations (IMO), and flag state requirements.
- Provide technical support to other Team members.
- Act as point of reference for local clients, designers and surveyors.
- Provide direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements and projects management.
- Take ownership and responsibility over the financial progress of assigned tasks. Understand and apply project management concepts providing feedback to project manager, serve as reference for the escalation of issues.
- Manage projects assigned, applying project management concepts and techniques.
Education
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in Stability and Load Line aspects, preferably as member of an IACS Class Society.
- Solid knowledge of international regulatory framework (e.g. SOLAS, MARPOL, ICLL etc.) and familiarity with Class Rules.
- Experience in approving drawings and studies, in compliance with stability and load line regulatory framework.
- Proficient in the use of stability software tools (e.g. NAPA).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and provide results meeting requested deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, detail-oriented.
- Fluent in Greek and advanced level of English
