Comm Mechanical / Piping Superintendent (Turret) - Malaysia - Local & Expat

Role Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical / Piping Superintendent (Turret) to support commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all activities comply with environmental, health and safety requirements. 
• Ensure works are executed in line with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, and standards
• Coordinate and interface effectively between different organizations and teams. 
• Support delivery of commissioning targets and schedules.
• Apply commissioning strategy with the Commissioning Manager to deliver project tasks.
• Interface with Construction and MC teams to identify and resolve punch items.
• Coordinate commissioning activities for mechanical equipment and utilities. 
• Ensure contractor activities are performed by competent personnel and properly supported with documentation.
• Review relevant technical documentation (engineering documents, specifications, procedures, drawings, OTPs, etc.). 
• Ensure planning for vendor call-outs and completeness of mechanical completion documentation.

Requirements 

• Previous FLNG, FPSO experience is preferred. 
• Availability for offshore rotation. 
• Offshore commissioning and start-up experience.

Qualifications & Experience (from referenced JD)

• Engineering/technical degree (preferred) or technical diploma.
• Fluent English (written & spoken). 
• 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. 
• At least 7++ years of commissioning experience. 
• Knowledge areas include commissioning plan/monitoring, commissioning works/testing, start-up & handover, project monitoring/change management, and HSE principles/systems.
