RINA is currently recruiting for a Central PV Technical Senior Power Owner's Engineering Consultant to join its office in Ruel Malmaison within the Power Engineering and Renewables Division.

Mission

The Senior Power Owner's Engineering Consultant focuses on overseeing owner’s engineering and project management services for power generation and energy storage projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in power systems engineering, coupled with project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. #LI-SF#LI-SF

Key Accountabilities

Owner's Engineering (Project Management):
 - Serve as the owner's representative in the management of power generation and energy storage projects.
 - Oversee all phases of project development, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
 - Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
 - Conduct regular site inspections to verify project progress and compliance with design specifications.
 - Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
 - Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
Technical Due Diligence:
 - Perform comprehensive technical assessments of power generation and energy storage projects.
 - Review and analyze project documentation, including technical specifications, design reports, and performance data.
 - Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
 - Prepare detailed due diligence reports and present findings to clients.
Technical Advisory:
 - Provide expert technical advice on the design, development, and implementation of power generation and energy storage projects.
 - Support clients in decision-making processes by offering technical insights and recommendations.
 - Stay updated with the latest advancements in power generation and energy storage technologies and industry standards.
Client Engagement:
 - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
 - Facilitate meetings and workshops with clients to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
 - Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and high-quality deliverables.
H&S Framework:
 - Responsible for ensuring personal and others' health and safety (H&S) by using safety measures correctly, complying with company and client H&S policies, and completing mandatory training. Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe behaviors as per company guidelines. Authorized to stop work if operations are unsafe and report to management.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Qualifications

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the power generation and energy storage sector, with a focus on project management and technical due diligence.
 - Proven experience as an owner's engineer in the power industry.
 - Strong understanding of power generation technologies, energy storage systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
 - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
 - Proficiency in project management software and tools.
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
 - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
 - Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are a plus.
