RINA is currently recruiting for a Commercial Support Intern - Agrifood Certification Services to join its office in Palermo, Italy within the Italy Food Certification Division.​

Mission

The Commercial Support Advisor plays the role in the administrative aspects of customer interactions, offer management, and basic pricing. This position supports the commercial team's efforts to provide efficient and effective services to clients while ensuring accurate record-keeping and contributing to marketing intelligence efforts.

Key Accountabilities

1. Customer Data Management

  • Support the maintenance of accurate and updated customer records within the company database, with specific reference to Agrifood clients and related services.
  • Assist in ensuring completeness and reliability of customer and commercial data, in line with internal procedures.

2. Offer Preparation and Pricing Support

  • Support the preparation and issuance of commercial offers related to Agrifood certification, assurance, and related services.
  • Assist in collecting and organizing the information required for quotation development, including customer data, service scope, and commercial inputs.

3. Commercial and Administrative Support

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the commercial team in the management of Agrifood certification service activities.
  • Support document preparation, data entry, opportunity tracking, and the orderly management of commercial information.

4. Customer Communication

  • Support communications with clients regarding offers, service information, pricing elements, and general commercial updates.
  • Ensure timely and professional follow-up on customer requests, in coordination with the commercial team and relevant internal functions.

5. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Assist in the analysis of sales data, customer portfolio information, and market trends related to Agrifood certification services.
  • Support the preparation of reports and dashboards for the monitoring of pipeline, customer activity, and commercial performance.

6. Documentation and Record Keeping

  • Support the maintenance of accurate and well-structured records related to customer interactions, commercial offers, and service requests.
  • Assist in documenting quotations, pricing details, and other relevant commercial information.

7. Credit Control and Recovery Support

  • Support the monitoring of outstanding receivables and aging reports related to the assigned customer portfolio.
  • Assist in follow-up activities concerning overdue payments, in alignment with company guidelines and under the coordination of the relevant functions.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Finance Management or Agriculture/Agronomy/Food Technology

Qualifications

 

  • Initial experience, such as internships, academic projects, or extracurricular activities in customer data management, sales support, or administrative roles, preferably gained within the Agrifood sector, is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
  • Strong interest in commercial support activities and in developing a career within the Agrifood sector.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital tools, or willingness to quickly learn how to use them effectively.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work accurately in a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling customer data, commercial documentation, and internal records.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to support reporting, data analysis, and commercial monitoring activities.
  • Basic understanding of administrative processes and document management.
  • Awareness of confidentiality, data protection, and proper record-keeping principles.
  • Interest in Agrifood supply chains, certification, sustainability, and related business services.
  • Familiarity with RINA services will be considered an advantage; however, a strong willingness to learn about the company’s service portfolio is essential.
  • Proactive attitude, learning agility, and motivation to grow in a commercial and customer-oriented role.
