RINA is currently recruiting for a Quality Mechanical Inspector / Work Supervisor to join its office in Noordwijck, The Netherlands.

Description

RINA Consulting is currently supporting our Client in the monitoring of the construction of a large space testing facility in Noordwijck (South Holland). The building will be one of the largest anechoic chambers in the world hosting a highly complex network of mechanical systems such as clean room ventilation, process cooling water, nitrogen cooling systems, compressed air, rain drainage, underground lines, fire protection. The Construction Company has currently completed the structure and the façades.

  • Period of approximately 6 months starting from April with potential extension.
  • Free Lance Contract (will enter the RINA qualified inspector network for central Europe)
  • Part Time: presence on site 2-4 days /week according to project phase

Mission

Rina is looking for a highly experienced Quality Mechanical Inspector / Work SupervisorThe Inspector will report to our local full time Construction Monitoring Manager and the Engineering Team working in back office. He will closely collaborate with the Client engineers and Users.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review of mechanical ITP, MS and Commissioning Plans in collaboration with RINA engineering team
  • On site inspections following the agreed ITPs and check lists
  • Monitor all QA/QC related issues (e.g. issuing and following Non Conformities or Inspection tasks) related to the mechanical systems of the Buildings
  • Control equipment on site (before and after installation) against the design specifications and the datasheet
  • Weekly meetings with the general Contractor to organize the work
  • Check the work progress against the schedul
  • Act proactively with strong attitude to collaboration and problem solving 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

  • Experience of Major Engineering projects with high thermal and hydraulic complexity
  • > 5 years’ experience on site in similar role
  • High School Diploma acceptable only if highly experienced
  • Knowledge of working with ASHRAE and EN Standards
  • Fluent English
  • Living or working in South Holland region or at least within 1.5 hours drive from site
  • Competent user of modern office computer systems e.g. Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
