RINA is currently recruiting experienced Subsea Specialists to support upcoming projects, primarily across Europe.
We are looking for highly qualified professionals with solid engineering experience in subsea developments and strong technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Subsea Production Systems (SPS)
- Subsea Umbilicals
- Flexible and rigid Risers
- Subsea Flowlines
- Subsea structures and related equipment
- Integrated subsea systems and interfaces
Key Responsibilities
Depending on their specific area of expertise, selected professionals may be involved in:
- Supporting subsea engineering activities from concept selection and feasibility studies through FEED and detailed design
- Preparing and reviewing technical specifications, engineering documentation, design philosophies, calculations and data sheets
- Reviewing contractors’ and vendors’ technical documentation and deliverables
- Supporting technical bid evaluations, vendor selection and equipment qualification activities
- Coordinating technical interfaces between SPS, umbilicals, risers, flowlines, subsea structures and topside or floating facilities
- Identifying and managing technical risks, design constraints and interface issues
- Participating in design reviews, technical meetings, HAZID, HAZOP and other project reviews, where applicable
- Ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable international codes, standards and client specifications
- Providing engineering support during procurement, fabrication, testing and system integration
- Following project activities through the subsequent execution phases, including manufacturing, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning
- Supporting offshore installation activities and resolving technical issues arising during project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Subsea, Offshore, Marine, Naval, Petroleum or a related discipline
- Significant experience in subsea engineering within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector
- Strong engineering background, particularly in concept development, FEED and detailed design
- Proven experience covering subsequent project phases, ideally including procurement support, fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major subsea discipline or component, such as SPS, umbilicals, risers or flowlines
- Good understanding of subsea system integration and multidisciplinary interfaces
- Familiarity with relevant international codes, standards and engineering practices
- Ability to review complex technical documentation and provide clear engineering recommendations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Professional proficiency in English
- Availability to work on international projects and travel within Europe when required
