RINA is currently recruiting for a Smart Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer to join its office in Naples or Rome, Italy within the Italy Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Mission

The Smart Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining smart monitoring systems that gather and analyze data from various sources to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of systems, processes, or infrastructure under the surpervision of Senior Engineer. This role involves deploying advanced monitoring technologies and utilizing data analytics to provide insights for proactive decision-making. #LI-MB4

Key Accountabilities

  • System Design and Implementation: Design and implement smart monitoring systems tailored to specific applications, systems, or infrastructure
  • Deploy sensors, IoT devices, and other monitoring technologies to collect relevant data
  • Data Collection and Integration: Establish data collection protocols to gather information from diverse sources, including sensors, databases, and external systems
  • Integrate data streams into a unified monitoring platform for comprehensive insights
  • Advanced Analytics: Develop and apply data analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from collected data
  • Implement machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics and anomaly detection
  • Real-time Monitoring: Enable real-time monitoring of critical parameters, system performance, or environmental conditions
  • Implement alerts and notifications for immediate response to abnormal situations
  • Customized Dashboards and Reports: Design and create customized dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators and trends
  • Provide stakeholders with easy-to-understand visualizations of monitored data
  • Integration with Control Systems: Integrate smart monitoring systems with control systems to enable automated responses based on monitored data
  • Collaborate with control engineers to enhance overall system automation
  • Maintenance and Calibration: Implement a regular maintenance schedule for monitoring devices
  • Calibrate sensors and monitoring equipment to ensure accurate and reliable data
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to protect monitored data from unauthorized access
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, IT professionals, and data scientists, to understand monitoring requirements
  • Communicate findings and insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about advancements in smart monitoring technologies and industry best practice
  • Propose and implement improvements to monitoring systems based on feedback and evolving requirements

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
