Mission
RINA is currently recruiting for a Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineer to join our office in Naples within the Mechanical Design and Simulation team, in Aerospance and Defence sector, to provide technical support within activities involving mechanical, electrical and electromechanical components.
The role focuses primarily on support to supply chain processes, non conformity management, technical documentation analysis, and interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
The position operates within a structured industrial environment and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
The role combines design oriented responsibilities with broader support activities, including supplier interaction, non conformity follow up, and coordination across mechanical, electrical and electromechanical activities.
The position requires full onsite work, with activities carried out directly at the client’s premises within the Naples area. Smart working is not permitted.
Key Accountabilities
• 3D CAD modelling and associative parametric design of complex assemblies and electromechanical devices using Creo, with additional use of AutoCAD and Inventor depending on project requirements;
• 3D modelling of electrical cable routing;
• Concept development and design of mechanical components, including material selection, tolerance definition, and bill of materials creation;
• Support in the design and development of test fixtures, assembly tooling, and related equipment;
• Contribution to the definition and improvement of assembly and integration procedures and standards;
• Familiarity with 3D prototyping techniques and rapid prototyping tools;
• General understanding of measurement instruments and testing equipment (e.g., multimeter, environmental chamber);
• Technical interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders;
• Support to supply chain processes, non conformity management, and technical documentation review.
Education
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of work experience;
- Background in Mechanical Engineering with electrical competencies, or in Electrical Engineering with mechanical competencies;
- Proficiency with Creo, and familiarity with AutoCAD and Inventor;
- English proficiency;
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem‑solving attitude;
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and structured industrial environments.

Compensation Data
Compensation & BenefitsThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €30,000 and €37,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
