RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join its office in MUMBAI within the Global Administration & Financial Statement Division.

Mission

The mission of the Senior Accountant is to independently manage and lead critical aspects of both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, while taking a lead role in general ledger activities. With a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and process improvement, the Experienced Accountant contributes to the overall financial integrity of the organization. This role also involves providing insights through financial analysis, supporting budgeting processes, and collaborating with various teams to enhance financial operations.

Key Accountabilities

1. Accounts Receivable:
Payment Processing and Reconciliation:
- Manage the end-to-end process of verifying and processing received payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the reconciliation of customer accounts, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring the alignment of records.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Independently manage customer relationships, addressing complex inquiries, resolving disputes, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Implement strategies for efficient payment collections, reducing overdue balances.
2. Accounts Payable:
Invoice Processing and Approval:
- Lead the processing of invoices, ensuring adherence to policies and timely approvals.
- Take ownership of the payment approval process and coordinate disbursements to vendors efficiently.
Vendor Management:
- Independently manage relationships with key vendors, negotiate terms, and address vendor inquiries or issues.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to optimize vendor relationships and streamline processes.
3. General Ledger:
Transaction Recording and Reconciliation:
- Independently handle the recording of transactions in both the accounts receivable sub-ledger and the general ledger.
- Lead the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
Month-End and Year-End Processes:
- Take a lead role in month-end and year-end closing processes, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
- Contribute significantly to financial reporting and analysis tasks, providing insights and recommendations.
4. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Budgeting Support:
- Support the budgeting process, providing historical data, insights, and assisting in the preparation of budget reports.
Financial Reporting:
- Independently prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Process Improvement and Team Collaboration:
5. Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Business Administration Finance Management

Qualifications

 - +8 years experience in taxation, GST, accounts payable, accounting, or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems used for accounts payable functions.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial data, identify discrepancies, and problem-solve effectively.
