Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Master Mariner (FG) to be deputed as a Third-Party Surveyor for carrying out marine inspections and surveys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime operations and survey-related activities, particularly in classification, certification, machinery/equipment inspections, and DP trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct classification, certification, and statutory surveys onboard vessels.
  • Perform machinery and equipment inspections and participate in sea trials.
  • Execute Dynamic Positioning (DP) trials in accordance with international standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant maritime regulations, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and submit findings to the concerned authorities.
  • Liaise with offshore and onshore teams for planning and execution of inspection activities.
  • Participate in pre-deployment discussions and obtain necessary approvals from ONGC Offshore Safety Cell

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate of Competency: Master (FG) or Marine Engineer (MEO-Class I – MOT).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in classification, certification, equipment/machinery surveys, trials, etc.
  • DP Trials Qualification: Must have completed at least DP Basic Course and be qualified to perform DP trials.
  • Prior experience with reputed classification societies or marine inspection agencies will be an advantage.

Key Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of maritime survey protocols and standards.
  • Familiarity with offshore safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in challenging offshore environments.
