Handling Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting: Handling Engineer 

Location: Milan 

Duration: 16 months 

Activities

• Piping design/installation knowledge.
• Liaise/work with all disciplines to deliver handling deliverables to clients.
• Develop and implement philosophies and strategies for the handling of maintainable equipment, valves, instruments, and miscellaneous items.
• Create detailed handling methods and procedures for the maintenance and operations team to safely perform maintenance activities.
• Analyze lifting requirements and specify the appropriate mechanical handling devices (cranes, forklifts, etc.) for each task.
• Plan the transportation route for removing and transporting maintainable items to the designated laydown area.
• Clearly define the laydown area and required hatch opening dimensions to facilitate safe handling activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of handling procedures.
• Handling design knowledge for offshore Oil & Gas Projects.
• Review of vendor material and equipment handling proposal.
• Verification of mechanical vendor drawings.
• Supervise handling team.
• Participate in 3D Model reviews with client and propose solutions to problems.
• Read and understand technical drawings.
• Interface between E3D/S3D and Navisworks
• Perform handling study, create snapshots from E3D/S3D or Navisworks
