Contract Manager (Milan)

RINA is currently recruiting an experienced Contract Manager to join a prestiogious client's project in Milan
- University graduated in scientific discipline (e.g. Civil, Mechanical, Management Engineer)
- Master’s degree in business administration or a related field such as mathematics, economics, or
accounting is preferred.
- Additional qualifications in law are a plus

Knowledge of Italian and English is mandatory
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS and CERTIFICATIONS
- Good knowledge (spoken and written) of foreign languages (preferable English, French or Spanish)
including technical dictionary will be a plus
- Must be familiar with planning and scheduling of activities for all aspects of EPC of major oil / gas plants.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret contract terms, conditions and specifications, knowledge of
quality control and assurance functions, methods of progress measurements and verification.
- Must demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and an ability to negotiate across the
various levels of any construction environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Excellent reading and language comprehension.
- Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization.
- Effective ability to negotiate and execute contracts.
- Proven management and leadership skills.
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written).
WORK EXPERIENCE – YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- Must have experience in offshore/onshore Oil & Gas or power generation industries EPC contracts in the
field of pressure retaining components, piping, pipelines, valves, rotating equipment, steel structures etc.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in major Oil / Gas projects in a similar position.
WORK EXPERIENCE – DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Contract Manager/Administrator is responsible for:
- Working with different levels of personnel within an organization to analyse and solidify an overall
contract strategy.
- Coordinating actions with internal procurement and legal teams if needed.
- Reporting status of current contract processes to management.
- Resolving any existing contract conflicts.
- Serving as a liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation
stages.
- Negotiating terms, conditions and pricing with internal and external partners, and ensuring they are
accurately executed and satisfied.
- Following up to guarantee contractual payments have been made.
- Analysing potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization.
