    • Select appropriate equipment (cranes, rigging, transporters) based on load requirements, site conditions, and gas plant specifications.
  2. Safety & Compliance
    • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols (OSHA, ANSI, LOLER) and site-specific regulations.
    • Conduct hazard assessments for lifts involving hazardous areas or flammable materials common in gas plants.
    • Ensure emergency response plans are in place for incidents like equipment failure or spills.
  3. Equipment Management
    • Oversee inspection, maintenance, and certification of lifting equipment (e.g., cranes, slings, spreader bars).
    • Verify equipment compatibility with gas plant environments (e.g., explosion-proof gear in hazardous zones).
    • Manage equipment mobilization/demobilization, including logistics and storage.
  4. Supervision & Execution
    • Direct lifting crews, riggers, and operators during critical lifts (e.g., installing reactors, columns, or pipelines).

    • Collaborate with process engineers to avoid clashes during equipment installation.
  10. Environmental Stewardship
    • Implement measures to prevent environmental damage (e.g., containing fluid leaks from cranes in sensitive areas).
