RINA is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join its office in Mozambique within the Energy Project Solutions  Division.

Mission

As a Project Manager at RINA Consulting Lda, you will spearhead the coordination and successful delivery of site supervision activities within the Energy Project Solutions division. Your role will involve overseeing personnel across multiple projects, ensuring operational excellence from the initial planning phases through to invoicing and final reporting. You will champion quality, cost efficiency, and contractual compliance while fostering strong relationships with clients to drive profitability and elevate customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

1. Comprehensive Project Coordination:
Lead and synchronize all site supervision activities and resource allocation across various project sites, ensuring coherent collaboration and fluid communication to meet project objectives effectively.

2. Personnel Leadership and Development:
Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance assessment of site staff, promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. Mentor junior site operations managers and drive quality awareness among personnel.

3. Robust Quality Assurance:
Implement and oversee rigorous quality control strategies, ensuring all site supervision activities adhere to organizational standards and client expectations. Facilitate systematic collection and application of lessons learned to enhance operational practices.

4. Strategic Cost and Budget Management:
Devise and execute cost optimization tactics without compromising quality or safety. Maintain vigilant oversight on expenditures, aligning financial resources with project budgets and company goals.

5. Billing and Contractual Accuracy:
Guarantee precision and timeliness in billing processes linked to site supervision, ensuring all invoicing reflects contractual terms accurately. Manage contract administration diligently, maintaining profitability and compliance.

6. Resource Deployment:
Effectively select, assign, and support qualified personnel for site activities, ensuring clear communication of expectations and delivery support.

7. Performance Monitoring and Enhancement:
Conduct regular evaluations of staff and team outputs, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective action plans when necessary to foster a high-performance environment.

8. Schedule Management:
Develop detailed timelines and adjust schedules proactively to achieve critical project milestones, ensuring deadlines are met with quality deliverables.

9. Client Relationship and Satisfaction:
Establish and nurture client relationships by consistently delivering on commitments, addressing concerns promptly, and identifying opportunities to improve satisfaction and project outcomes.

10. Risk and Compliance Management:
Identify potential operational risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure all site activities comply with industry regulations and standards, particularly ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SA8000, and RINA QOHSES systems.

11. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain meticulous and timely data entry in legacy systems and generate comprehensive reports to support transparency and informed decision-making.

12. Environmental and Safety Advocacy:
Drive the organisation’s commitment to environmental sustainability and occupational health and safety standards, actively participating in programs that conform with ISO requirements and internal policies.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related field is required to provide the technical foundation necessary for effective site operations management.

Professional Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in site operations and construction management, demonstrating progressive responsibility and project leadership.

Project and Contract Management Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects, contract negotiation, administration, and compliance to ensure project success and align with corporate objectives.

Financial Acumen:
Strong skills in budget management, cost optimization, and financial analysis within the construction or energy sectors.

Key Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in regulatory standards related to quality, safety, and environmental management.

Additional Qualifications:
Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75% - 100%) to site locations, coupled with a passion for fostering sustainable development and continuous improvement in all operational aspects.
