Brazil Energy Site Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Brazil Energy Site Engineer to join its office in Rio de Janeiro within the Plant Engineering Division.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop engineering analyses relevant to design & consultancy for vessels, floating structures and floating terminals;
- Execute engineering studies with dedicated software (e.g., Optimoor, Orcaflex, Aqua, Ansys, Napa) for marine aspects, such as mooring, maneuvering, offshore design and marine operations in general;
- Carry out design and engineering consulting activities at different level (concept selection, basic design, feasibility studies, FEED) relevant to onshore and offshore projects;
- Review and analyze engineering documents, verifying compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards
- Cooperate in the preparation of technical papers;
- Support the activities as member of the project team;
- Report and summarize the assigned projects;
- Cooperate in drawing up technical-commercial proposals;
- Handle relationship with clients also through meetings at their premises or developing activities at their premises.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering, or equivalent Diploma.
- Professional experience in offshore projects/research programs.
- Technical understanding and basic familiarity with Class Rules, International Conventions/Standards and client’s standard concerning offshore projects (such as FPSO, FSRUs, FLNGs, FSUs, CNG carriers, fixed platforms, Renewables Offshore Systems)
- Problem solving attitude.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage conflicts and to negotiate, both with colleagues and clients.
- Advanced knowledge and use of the PC and the mostly used commercial software.
- Good knowledge of both spoken and written technical English.
