Well Integrity Engineer (Angola)

We are seeking a Resident Well Integrity Engineer with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry to join our team in Luanda.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving well integrity across the lifecycle of the well — from drilling to abandonment. This includes overseeing risk assessments, barrier evaluations, diagnostics, and recommending remediation actions in compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor the integrity status of active and inactive wells across multiple fields.
• Conduct well integrity risk assessments and root cause analysis of well integrity failures.
• Review well schematics, test data (e.g., pressure, temperature, corrosion logs), and historical performance to evaluate barrier effectiveness.
• Develop and update Well Integrity Management Systems (WIMS) in accordance with company standards and international guidelines (e.g., NORSOK D-010, ISO 16530).
• Provide technical support for planning and executing remedial operations including workovers, well intervention, and abandonment.
• Participate in well integrity audits and contribute to regulatory compliance submissions.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams including Drilling, Completions, Production, and HSE to ensure safe and reliable well operations.
• Utilize well integrity software and databases to track anomalies and performance metrics.
• Lead well integrity training and awareness programs for field personnel and engineers.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in well integrity, well operations, or completions engineering.
• Strong knowledge of completions, well integrity principles, pressure testing, annular pressure management, and barrier philosophy.
• Familiarity with well integrity software (e.g., WellView, Palantir).
• Experience with regulatory compliance in offshore and/or onshore environments.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification.
• Training in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), or equivalent.
• Experience working in mature assets, HPHT environments, or sour service conditions.
