Senior Drilling Engineer

RINA is seeking for a Senior Drilling Engineer.

Activities will be performed at Client's office  from Monday to Friday

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Main activities:

-      Ensure preparation of detailed drilling/P&A programs, according to company standards and procedures;

-      Liaising with Exploration, Reservoir, and Production departments in order to define the suitable well design, operational sequence and cost reduction;

-      Carrying out proper evaluations, studies and reports on any aspects of Drilling operations, with recommendations of new techniques required;

-      Preparation of accurate cost breakdown estimates for wells to be drilled, and together with the Drilling Engineering Superintendent also support Wells management with time & cost estimates for the budget;

-      Ensuring that activities carried out by contractors meet contractual terms, budgeted costs and are conducted in accordance with good engineering practice;

-      Follow up and update respective drilling database post activity reporting (including EOWRs);

-      Prepare and review equipment and service tenders to make technical recommendation for contractor selection.

-      Designing and selecting well-head equipment and tubulars, following company standards.

-      Interacting with specialist contractors and suppliers.

•      Design/prepare directional well paths (horizontally or multi-laterally, as appropriate) with contractor specialists’ assistance.

Qualifications & Experience

• • University Degree or diploma in an engineering/technical discipline;
  • 7-10 or 10+ years of Oil & Gas drilling/completion/fluid experience

Execution activities:

·       Uphold highest company standards and procedures in engineering planning and execution of drilling and P&A activities;

·       Ensure Drilling, and P&A activities execution are performed within Company approved time and cost;

Requirements

Knowledge and skills:

·       IWCF for subsea activities valid (preferably).

·       Drilling Activities: Drilling Operations, Horizontal Drilling, Drilling Fluids & Cement, Cement Operations Design, Well drilling experience.

·       Advanced Drilling: Lean Profile, Underbalance Drilling, Coil Tubing Drilling

·       High Profile Drilling: Extended Reach Drilling, Hp/Ht Drilling, Simultaneous Drilling, Wellbore Stability/Sand Production/Prediction & Control

·       Economics General: Economics evaluation, make or buy choice, Cost estimating/budgeting/cost analysis/control

·       Contracting: Variations and Claim Resolution

·       Technical Specifications & Bidding: Technical & Contract Specifications Preparation (Engineering), Evolution technological market, Specific suppliers and contractors market knowledge, Preparation and development of technical Standard, Tender technical evaluation

·       Data management and computer literacy (e.g. MS Office)
