RINA is currently recruiting for a Ship Coordinator to join its office in Taranto within the Aerospace & Defence Division.

Mission

The resource will be responsible for ensuring the coordination of onboard support for ships under Warranty/TLSM/MCO, interfacing with the Command of the Naval Unit, with the Military Navy entities, other company functions, and with representatives of other companies involved in the execution of land and onboard services to ensure the technical availability of the Naval Units' support system and the management of the configuration of ships in operation.

The Ship Representative, in coordination with the Site Manager, must plan, organize, coordinate, and control preventive maintenance activities, condition-based maintenance, and corrective maintenance.

Key Accountabilities

In particular, the activities will focus on:

  • Coordinating maintenance activities during ship stops for the platform and Combat System;
  • Interfacing with the ship's onboard command to agree on planned activities, communicate intervention slots, and update them on the status of ongoing activities;
  • Attending safety coordination meetings and onboard interference meetings;
  • Attending progress and planning meetings;
  • Interfacing with supplier technicians to ensure the correct execution of activities, requesting the activity report at the end of the work;
  • Interfacing with the Site Manager and Planner to update the ship plan and define the planned interventions;
  • Defining and managing the ship plan with the client, containing all activities to be performed on the Naval Unit."

Education

High School Diploma/GED in Other
Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering;
  • 5/7 years of work experience in the naval sector;
  • Preferably experience in onboard integration activities;
  • Knowledge of the general architecture of the Combat System;
  • Knowledge of integration issues between Platform and Combat System;
  • Knowledge of shipyard procedures and safety regulations;
  • Good knowledge of the English language
