RINA is currently recruiting for a BIM Specialist MEP to join its office in Lecce, Genova or Napoli, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.
Mission
A BIM Specialist MEP (Building Information Modeling Specialist for MEP disciplines) is responsible for managing and coordinating digital models of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems within a construction project, using BIM methodology. This role is essential to ensuring that MEP projects are accurate, efficient and compliant with standards.
Key Accountabilities
- BIM Model Creation and Management: Develop, manage, and update MEP models within a BIM platform (e.g., Revit, Navisworks).
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineers and designers to integrate MEP systems into the architectural and structural design, resolving any conflicts.
- Quality Verification: Check the quality and accuracy of BIM models by performing regular checks and testing compatibility between different models.
- Performance Analysis: Use analysis tools to optimize the performance of MEP systems, such as airflow simulation, energy efficiency, and water management.
- Data Management: Organize and manage BIM data, including managing information about materials, components, and construction details.
- Construction Team Support: Provide support to construction teams and subcontractors for the practical implementation of BIM models on the jobsite.
- Training and updates: Training team members on the use of BIM software and technological updates in the MEP sector.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in civil, mechanical, electrical or similar engineering.
- Previous experience using BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, fire prevention, etc.).
- Skills in BIM conflict analysis and resolution, coordination between disciplines and management of construction processes.
- Excellent communication and interdepartmental collaboration skills. #LI-MP3
