RINA is currently recruiting for a Graduate Electrical Engineering Consultant to join its office in Leatherhead within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of experienced consultants, you’ll:
•    Contribute to technical proposals, project delivery, and client presentations.
•    Conduct hands-on laboratory work, including high-voltage electrical testing and forensic examinations of equipment like transformers and switchgear.
•    Support site-based projects, witnessing electrical testing, investigating failures, and working in locations like solar parks, data centres, and wind farms.
•    Use your analytical skills in the office, performing finite element modelling, cable current rating calculations, and design reviews.
•    Travel up to 10–25% of the time to meet client needs and explore new challenges.


What We’re Looking For:
•    A minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
•    A hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving.
•    A full UK driving licence (or actively working toward obtaining one).


Key Skills & Attributes:
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
•    Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
•    A team player with an inquisitive mindset and a desire to learn.
•    Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a client-focused approach.
