System Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a System Engineer to join its office in La Spezia within the Space & Defence Division.
Mission
The system engineer consultant support the client to develop tailor-made system solutions that meet specific requirements and provide added value through design and process optimization and efficiency. System Specification activities through the definition and allocation of clear and comprehensive requirements, collaborating with both client stakeholders and end-users to understand system needs.
Key Accountabilities
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with client development team to specify system requirements, including functional, non-functional, and interface requirements.
- System Functionality Definition: Identify and describe the key functionalities of the system, considering requirements and final user needs.
- System Specification Development: Organize and structure the System Specification clearly and coherently.
- Review and Approval: Conduct periodic reviews of the System Specification with key client stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of requirements and obtain formal approval.
- Change Management: Manage changes in system requirements during the development process, ensuring they are evaluated, documented, and implemented appropriately.
Education
Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: basic knowledge in front-edge technologies and Space & Defence systems: experience in drafting system requirements for an air/naval defense system; experience in verifying system requirements for an air/naval defense system.
- Programming Skills: basic knowledge of at least one programming language.
- Knowledge of Best Practices: Familiarity with best practices and methodologies in the field of systems engineering, including military (MIL-STD-498) and industry standards (IEC/EN/ISO).
- Reporting: Ability to analyze and process data and represent them synthetically (reports, metrics, graphs).
- Use of Engineering tools: e.g. IBM DOORS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
