RINA is currently recruiting for a Naval Ships Surveyor to join its office in La Spezia within the Marine Special Ships Excellence Centre Division.

The Naval Ships Senior Surveyor position at RINA Services S.p.A. is a role where you will serve as an experienced and knowledgeable professional within the organization. - Professional Specialist:
- As a Professional Specialist, you will utilize your in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry concepts to act as a subject matter expert. You will stay updated with industry developments and recommend necessary changes to surveying processes and safety programs to enhance effectiveness. - Inspection and Reporting:
- Your role will involve conducting routine surveys on classed ships, offshore installations, or marine assets to ensure strict compliance with classification and statutory requirements. You will be responsible for generating accurate and timely inspection reports for record-keeping and compliance purposes. - Leadership and Coordination:
- You will play a crucial role in planning, scheduling, and coordinating various surveying work phases. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced surveyors to ensure the delivery of high-quality service to clients. - Client Interaction:
- Effective client interaction is a vital aspect of your role. You will engage with clients to address and resolve problems within your area of expertise, ensuring client satisfaction through clear and timely communication and issue resolution. - Training and Development:
- Supporting the growth and development of junior surveyors is an essential responsibility. You will offer guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance the overall skills and knowledge of the team, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Quality Assurance and Ethical Conduct:
- Upholding stringent quality, content, and ethical standards in all professional interactions is paramount. You will be responsible for maintaining integrity, transparency, and fairness in all survey processes to uphold the reputation and credibility of the organization.
Education
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Surveyor or 6 years in engineering/inspection fields with an IACS member Classification Society.
- Understanding of RINA's technical positioning in the marine industry.
- Proficiency in the English language for classification and statutory certification services.
- Ability to develop knowledge of RINA Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and safety policies.
- Competence in assessing materials, products, shipbuilding practices, and operations.
- Experience in new building surveys, ship in service surveys, audits, and testing activities.
- Knowledge of ship engineering systems, software packages, and technical interfaces for project collaboration.
