FEM and Mechanical Design Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a FEM and Mechanical Design Engineer to join its office in La Spezia within the Materials & Technologies Division.

Mission

This role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical components to meet the rigorous demands of defense applications.

Key Accountabilities

FEM Simulation and Design Calculations: Use COMSOL, MATLAB, and Simulink for simulations and design calculations.

Design and prototype using 3D printing technologies.

Create detailed designs for supports and structural elements that provide stability and resilience under various operational conditions. 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

Qualifications

Expertise in 3D CAD design software, especially CREO.

Knowledge of mechanical design and modeling, with experience in COMSOL software (preferred). 

Proficient in Matlab / Simulink. 

Understanding of materials science, with experience in 3D printing.
