RINA is currently recruiting for a BIM Specialist - STRUTTURE to join its office in Genoa, Lecce or Naples - Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.

Mission

The role is focuses on implementing and coordinating of BIM processes throughout the entire lifecycle of construction projects. The role contributes to the efficient and accurate execution of projects.

The BIM Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating structural BIM models for complex building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures the effective implementation of BIM methodologies, leverages advanced skills in Tekla and Revit, and supports the integration of innovative technologies such as 4D/5D BIM and point cloud processing

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for structural works using Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit. 
  • Coordinate and integrate structural models with other disciplines (architecture, MEP) to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Perform advanced modeling, clash detection, and model validation. Integrate 4D (time) and 5D (cost) aspects into BIM models to support project scheduling, budgeting, and construction simulations.
  • Process and manage point clouds, converting them into accurate BIM models for as-built and renovation projects.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, quantity take-offs, and support project reporting.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other BIM specialists.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay updated on BIM standards, technologies, and best practices. #LI-MT3

Education

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture

Qualifications

  • Prooven experience in BIM roles focused on structural projects (3-5 years at least)  
  • Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit
  • Experience with other BIM software will be considered as a plus
  • Experience with 4D (time) and 5D (cost) BIM integration is highly valued
  • Proven ability to process and use point clouds within BIM workflows
  • Strong knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, UNI 11337)
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex deadlines
  • Good level of English (both spoken and written)
