RINA is currently recruiting for a South East Asia Energy Engineering Project Manager to join its office in Jakarta, Indonesia within the EMEA & Asia Pacific Energy Engineering Division.​

Mission

The Project Manager is required to strengthen the organization's project management and coordination capabilities across the project portfolio, ensuring structured oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle and enabling the organization to support business growth while maintaining high standards of execution. .

Key Accountabilities

In particular, the Project Manager will be involved in the following activities: 

  • Coordinating and preparing proposals, working closely with clients and internal Practices (Engineering Team). 
  • Planning and coordinating project execution, ensuring compliance with contractual milestones, deliverables, and deadlines. 
  • Continuously monitoring project costs, margins, progress, and financial performance in response to requests from the Project Monitoring and Support team. 
  • Managing relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors, ensuring continuous alignment on project scope, priorities, and critical issues. 
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks, including the management of change orders where necessary. 
  • Working with the Practices (Engineering Team) and Project Engineer on technical resource allocation and coordinating the technical resources involved in projects, optimizing their utilization according to operational priorities. 
  • Supporting management reporting and forecasting activities, contributing to improved visibility and control of the regional project portfolio. 
  • Preparing standard project management deliverables, including Minutes of Meetings, Project Weekly Reports, Project Monthly Reports, Project Close-Out Reports, and other related documentation. 
  • Ensuring the delivery is executed in according with internal policies and quality assurance/quality checks procedure

The resource will be based in our offices in Jakarta and will be furnished with the necessary IT equipment to fulfil the job. The position requires a full-time commitment, curiosity towards engineering energy activities with focus on South East Asia region. The resource may be mobilized from time to time for site-visit activities / meetings with client, contractors / events.

Education

Master’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role within a project setting, ideally with exposure to cross-functional teamwork. In alternative 1-3 years of experience in associate project management role. 
  • Proficiency in Verbal and Written English (IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL certificate or equivalent is a plus) 
  • Professional project management certifications are desirable (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or similar). A certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) can also be beneficial. 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under tight deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate engineering team located remotely in a multicultural environment. 
  • Advanced certifications or coursework in project management, engineering processes, or technical fields (optional but beneficial). 
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) Understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes relevant to the sector. 
  • Knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning; 
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, as well as basic risk assessment techniques. 
  • Familiarity with contracts, client management, and vendor relations. 

We welcome candidates who holds Master’s degree in process engineering. Candidates from ITS or ITB are desiderable
