RINA is currently recruiting for a Head of South Asia Pacific Supply Chain to join its office in Jakarta, Indonesia within the International Supply Chain Division.
Mission
The Head of Supply Chain Region oversees the company's sourcing capabilities and Supply Chain activities according to corporate strategic plans within a specific geographic region. This role is pivotal in scouting vendors, negotiating contracts, and securing cost-efficient deals while ensuring compliance with regulatory aspects, quality standards, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, within a Business Ready Supply Chain model. The role requires collaboration with corporate projects and adherence to budgetary guidelines to plan sourcing needs and activities effectively.
Key Accountabilities
Forecasting and Strategy:
- Develop and implement Supply Chain strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Forecast supply needs in collaboration with the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) team.
Vendor Management:
- Support supplier scouting and segmentation, working with Global Supply Chain Scouting & Vendor Management to identify new vendors.
- Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Supply Chain Process Management:
- Manage the entire Supply Chain process, from collecting requirements to issuing Supply Chain recommendations.
- Conduct final bid comparisons and evaluate commercial conditions and vendor performance.
- Execute Supply Chain processes using ERP systems and other tools.
Contract Negotiation and Compliance:
- Negotiate and finalize contracts and framework agreements to secure favorable terms.
- Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Develop strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with contracts and suppliers.
Cost Management and Reporting:
- Contribute to long-term savings on Supply Chain costs and effective use of department budgets.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into Supply Chain performance.
- Contribute to the selection of key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key managers to ensure clarity of specifications and organizational goals.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance Supply Chain efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Apply corporate procedures to ensure common processes across RINA Group companies and countries.
Risk Management:
- Manage the Risk Passport Procedure for Supply Chain-related matters.
- Establish contingency plans for critical suppliers to ensure business continuity.
Compliance and Audits:
- Support audits to verify supplier compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Education
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Supply Chain management, or related fields.
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing.
- Experience working in a multinational corporation and managing regional Supply Chains is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and other Supply Chain software.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Chartered Institute of Supply Chain & Supply (CIPS) are a plus.
