RINA is currently recruiting for a Turkey I&M Senior MEP Engineer to join its office in Istanbul within the International Infrastructure & Mobility Division.
Mission
The role focuses on the development and execution of sustainable design practices (MEP Systems).
Key Accountabilities
Design Development:
- Lead the development of sustainable designs (MEP Systems) from concept through detailed design, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Produce engineering designs and details, providing construction support as needed.
Technical Support and Documentation:
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and 3D models in accordance with project requirements.
- Conduct interface coordination with other disciplines and review reports, calculations, and drawings prepared by other engineers.
- Write technical reports and specifications to communicate design concepts and details effectively.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any issues or challenges related to MEP systems.
- Collaborate with on-site teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Design Best Practices:
- Develop and implement sustainable design best practices, ensuring conformance with codes, client requirements, and industry standards supporting energy efficiency and energy refurbishment initiatives within the projects.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other team members to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Support Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Costing (LCC) analyses.
Project Management:
- Manage MEP aspects of projects, including creating project schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
- Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on MEP-related milestones.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes for MEP systems to ensure reliability and compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify the performance of installed systems.
Code Compliance:
- Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and updates to building codes affecting MEP systems.
- Ensure all MEP designs and installations comply with relevant codes and standards.

Education
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP systems design and development, with a demonstrated track record of leading sustainable design projects. Experience in project management and construction support is essential.

Technical Skills:
- Expertise in developing sustainable designs for MEP systems from concept through detailed design, ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Proficiency in producing engineering designs, drawings, and details, with the ability to provide construction support as needed.
- Advanced skills in preparing design calculations, drawings, and 3D models in accordance with project requirements.
- Extensive experience in conducting interface coordination with other disciplines and reviewing reports, calculations, and drawings prepared by other engineers.
