RINA is currently recruiting for a Türkiye Certification Business Developer to join its office in Istanbul within the International Certification Division.
Mission
The primary mission of a Business Developer is to drive sustainable business growth by identifying new opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and expanding market presence.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify and follow up on new business prospects to expand the sales pipeline, including client visits.
- Collaborate across teams to identify mutual opportunities and expand the service portfolio with existing clients, including cross selling.
- Monitor competitors' activity, version changes, legislations and provide timely updates on market trends, news, and insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
- Meet with clients to understand their needs, propose tailored solutions, and ensure satisfaction.
- Focus on retaining key accounts, driving repeat business, and exploring opportunities in new markets, including follow-ups.
- Prepare and review customer offers, contracts and tenders including follow up and take the necessary actions for the re-certification stages. Ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Partner with international and local teams to align strategies and deliver client-focused solutions.
- Conduct all activities in compliance with internal procedures, accreditation requirements, standard owner requirements and legislations.
- Completing all necessary reporting activities for direct reports, headquarters and top management.
- Perform any other ad hoc activities assigned by the management.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (preferred) or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of significant professional experience in similar or related businesses.
- Familiarity with certification standards (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001,IS0 45001, BRCGS, IFS, SA8000, ISCC etc.) and previous experience including auditing qualifications in related fields is a plus.
- Proficiency in Turkish (mandatory) and English (minimum B1 level).
- Ability to travel as needed based on business requirements.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience in drafting, appraising, and negotiating detailed offers and contracts.
- Strong sales skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
- Great communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a team, manage conflicts, and meet tight deadlines with a team-player approach.
- Analytical thinking to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with a results-oriented mindset focused on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with relevant technologies and tools, including CRM systems, to streamline business development processes. #LI-DP1
