RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Technician Plan Approval to join its office in Istanbul within the Marine South East Europe & MEA Region Division.​

Mission

 

We are currently seeking an intern to join our team for a six-month period. This role is focused on supporting the elaboration of detailed plan and design review. #LI-DP1

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Providing support for the elaboration of detailed marine engineering plan review, in compliance with applicable RINA rules, international conventions and contractual requirements;
  • Providing support for the resolution of issues related to conflicting design requirements and material standards;
  • Providing support for structural assessments and provide advice for service delivery, research or development work within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements;
  • Providing direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements, visit sites to take measurement;
  • Providing direct or indirect support to engineers or engineering teams by gathering data, submitting documentation to officials and other day-to-day duties;
  • Preparing the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentations and engineering drawings, etc.);
  • Taking ownership and responsibility over the financial progress of assigned tasks;
  • Understanding and applying project management concepts providing feedback to project manager;
  • Assessing minor structural problems for internal/external clients to determine solutions with minimal supervision;
  • Answering contractor questions on behalf of the supervising engineer, and serve as liaisons between engineering and construction personnel.

Qualifications

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering.
  • Strong motivation and willingness to learn in a professional environment.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and apply them in practice.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
