RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Cyber Security Technical Engineer to join its office in Turkiye within the Europe Marine Consulting Division.

Mission

Marine Cyber Security  Engineer, promotes and supports internally & externally (clients), RINA Marine Cybersecurity Services .In addition, ensures RINA Marine Rules and Services align with relevant regulations
(IMO, IACS, Flags, etc), standards and best practices.

Key Accountabilities

1. Review and Analyze International Regulations:
- Stay updated with international regulations, codes, and guidelines related to Cyber Security, including those
issued by the IMO, IACS (International Association of Classification Societies), and other relevant authorities.
- Assess the applicability and impact of international rules on marine practices and ensure compliance.
2. Develop Internal Rules and Guidelines:
- Formulate internal rules, guidelines, and standards for marine Cyber Security, analysis, and inspection,
tailored to the needs of the RINA clients.
3. Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical expertise in marine Cyber security matter
4. Research and Development:
- Stay current with advancements in marine Cyber Security Rules
- Initiate and support research projects aimed at enhancing the RINA's knowledge and expertise in Cyber
Security.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of assessments, reports, and internal rules related to marine confort and
structure.
6. Oversee and support RINA Marine Cybersecurity Services and expert teams:
-Guide teams that perform RINA Marine Cybersecurity Certification and Type Approvals activities for compliance
of shipping companies, shipyards and vendors.
7. Standardize Marine Cybersecurity Services Portfolio:
-Understand Cybersecurity requirements, coordinate with RINA offices (worldwide), analyze technical problems,
standardize existing services, and suggest when needed the development of new ones.
-Verify that RINA services adhere to the highest quality standards and continuously assess and improve the
quality of services provided to clients.
- Prepare reports and documentation that outline findings, recommendations and compliance.
8. Promote Marine Cyber Services and expert support:
- Promote and support RINA Marine Cybersecurity Services to clients eg: shipping companies, shipyards,
vendors and yachting. 
- Provide technical expertise and support to shipowners, operators, and other stakeholders by addressing
questions, offering guidance on technical issues, and providing recommendations to enhance vessel cyber
security.
9.Continuous Improvement:
- Lead efforts and coordinate with other RINA offices for the development of internal and external training

Qualifications

- Experience within a classification society or a related industry.
- Extensive experience (minimum of 3 years) in cybersecurity roles, preferably within the maritime industry.
- Proven experience in leading teams and coordinating global efforts.
Technical Competence:
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity requirements and standards applicable to the maritime sector.
- In-depth understanding of maritime regulations, standards, and classification requirements.
- Strong technical background with knowledge of ship design, construction, and operation
