Mission

The Principal Marine Project Manager is a highly experienced professional responsible for leading and overseeing complex, multidisciplinary projects within the Marine business unit. This role involves managing all project phases, providing strategic direction, and delivering high-level technical contributions. The Principal Marine Project Manager ensures projects not only meet but exceed client expectations, leveraging extensive experience to deliver innovative solutions, drive business growth, and mentor junior staff.

Key Accountabilities

- Project Leadership:
Lead and oversee multiple high-value, complex projects or a portfolio of projects, serving as the primary client contact and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including detailed budgets, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
Continuously monitor project performance, proactively addressing risks, and implementing corrective measures to ensure successful project delivery.
Ensure strict compliance with contractual obligations and RINA’s quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives.       
- Technical Contributions:
Provide expert-level technical guidance in project design, development, and execution, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence.
Lead the resolution of highly complex technical issues, offering innovative solutions and guiding project teams through technical challenges.
Oversee the preparation and review of technical reports, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to industry standards.
- Mentorship and Collaboration:
Mentor and guide mid-level staff, sharing extensive knowledge and fostering professional growth and development.
Facilitate and promote collaboration across departments and teams, aligning efforts to achieve project goals and organizational objectives.
-Strategic Insights:
Contribute to business development by identifying emerging client needs, proposing strategic solutions, and expanding the client base.
Stay at the forefront of industry trends, integrating cutting-edge practices and technologies into project execution to maintain competitive advantage.                   

Education

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in project management and engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in the maritime or offshore sector.
Expert proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Advanced expertise in technical disciplines relevant to Marine Consulting.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth understanding of financial aspects related to project management.
Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean), with the ability to tailor approaches based on project requirements.
