RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Project Communication Specialist (JC_1086) to join its office in Finland within the Marine Design & Engineering Marketing and Communication Division.
Mission
The Junior Project Communication Specialist focuses on supporting the clear, timely, and effective exchange of information among project stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of communication strategies, ensuring transparency, timeliness, accountability, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

Key Accountabilities
Stakeholder Communication Management:
- Support in developing and implementing communication plans tailored to the needs of various project stakeholders, including project team members, internal management, and external clients.
- Support the facilitation of stakeholders' understanding of project information, ensuring they have time to reflect, respond, and propose solutions.
- Help coordinate communication channels to maintain consistent and effective dialogue among all parties involved in the project.
Transparency and Information Sharing:
- Support the sharing of critical project details such as risks, timelines, budgets, and progress updates transparently with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in verifying the accuracy and verifiability of exchanged data, fostering a culture of trust and responsibility within the project team.
Timeliness of Information:
- Provide timely updates and information to prevent delays and inefficiencies.
- Assist in addressing the needs of managers and team members by ensuring they receive problem alerts and project updates promptly to facilitate quick intervention.
Role-Specific Communication:
- Adhere to the roles defined in the Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) and the Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM).
- Ensure project team members respect reporting lines and communication protocols established during the project kickoff meeting.
Project Documentation:
- Prepare and distribute project documentation in a timely manner to all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure progress reports are ready before periodic project review meetings, allowing participants to come prepared with insights and questions.
- Document meeting outcomes and decisions in detailed minutes to track the decision-making process and assigned responsibilities.
Education
Qualifications
- Some experience (1-3 years) in communication management, project management, or a related field.
- Experience in supporting the development and implementation of communication plans.
- Experience in working with diverse stakeholder groups including project teams, internal management, and external clients is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Project Management Understanding: Basic understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to assist in facilitating the understanding of project information among diverse stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to help coordinate communication channels and maintain consistent and effective dialogue.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assist in verifying the accuracy and verifiability of exchanged data.
- Time Management: Ability to provide timely updates and information to prevent delays and inefficiencies.
- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in preparing and distributing project documentation and detailed minutes.
