RINA is currently recruiting for a Testing Surveyor to join its office in Germany within the North Europe Marine Division.

Testing of systems and components especially but not solely for the maritime industry.
Location:
We are looking for candidates residing in the area Magdeburg-Kassel-Dresden, Hannover, Germany up to Karlsbad, or Czech Republic.

Key Accountabilities
- Survey various types of maritime equipment at manufacturers' facilities.
- Conduct surveys and certification in accordance with RINA Classification Rules and/or statutory requirements.
- Provide technical advice to clients as required.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and challenges during surveys or client interactions.
- Produce relevant Survey Reports.
- Report, communicate, and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Uphold quality assurance measures to maintain accuracy and reliability in inspection reports.
- Foster collaboration by sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.
- Engage in continuous professional development, pursuing relevant certifications to stay current with industry standards.
What are we looking for
- Formal qualification (B.Eng., M.Eng., Diploma or equivalent) in naval architecture, marine-operations, nautical , mechanical, electrical engineering, metallurgy, or at a comparable field.
- As equivalent are considered as well qualification as technician or master craftsman with enhanced and long-term job experience.
- Certification as a welding engineer is considered an advantage.
- Experience as a surveyor in a Classification Society or any other kind of recognized organization is highly valuable and a major advantage but not a must.
- Fluent in English and / or German, both spoken and written.
- In case of insufficient language capability for one of the above willingness to learn it.
- Proficient in MS Office and IT-literate.
- Willing to travel frequently and hold a valid driving license min level B.
- Physically capable of working in manufacturer premises outside of the office rooms
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
