Germany Junior Safety Plan Approval Engineer

Mission

For this role, you will be responsible for design assessment of Ship Safety and Fire protection plans related documents in accordance with statutory codes, RINA Rules & Regulations and International & National Standards in a consistent and timely manner for new buildings, conversion projects and Ship in Service.

Key Accountabilities

• Review and approve drawings of safety, fire protection, and lifesaving equipment on ships, offshore units, and marine equipment, in compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations, for new buildings, ships in service, and ship’s conversions.
• Assist clients during the design and construction phase, providing guidance and support related to safety, fire protection, and lifesaving equipment.Provide support for the elaboration of detailed marine engineering plan review, in compliance with applicable RINA rules, international conventions and contractual requirements.
• Provide direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements, visit sites to take measurements.
• Provide direct or indirect support to engineers or engineering teams by gathering data, submitting documentation to officials and other day-to-day duties.
• Prepare the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentations and engineering drawings, etc.) .

Qualifications

• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineer or equivalent 
• 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience 
• Proficiency in English, fluent in German would be an advantage
• Knowledge of relevant RINA Rules, statutory regulations and international standards
• Experience with PAX and RO RO PAX will be an advantage
