Preservation Superintendent-South Korea

Location: South Korea (Onshore - SHI Yard)
Contract Duration: August 2026 – December 2026 (Extendable)

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Preservation Superintendent to join our Integrated Commissioning Team in South Korea. The successful candidate will oversee preservation activities at the shipyard, ensuring all equipment and systems are properly protected and maintained according to project specifications and industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Supervision: Lead and supervise all preservation activities within the shipyard environment.
• Program Management: Manage the preservation program, ensuring compliance with management standards and project requirements.
• Technical Compliance: Ensure all preservation work, particularly regarding bolted flanges and electrical equipment, adheres to relevant guidelines (e.g., ASME PCC, IEC Ex).
• Coordination: Collaborate with the commissioning, construction, and HSE teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the project management team and highlight any technical discrepancies or delays.
• Mobility: Be available for business trips to other work sites as required by the project needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

 

• Experience: Proven track record as a Preservation Superintendent, specifically within a shipyard or heavy industrial construction environment.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Good knowledge of preservation program management standards.
  • Familiarity with ASME PCC guidelines for bolted flanges.
  • Understanding of IEC Ex management standards.
• Industry Background: Previous experience with FLNG/FPSO projects is highly preferred.
• Flexibility: Availability for business travel to other work sites.
