Job Description
The Marine Warranty Surveyor & Class Coordinator will act as the focal point for marine warranty activities and classification coordination for the FLNG project. The role ensures that all marine operations related to transportation, installation, and offshore activities are reviewed, approved, and executed in compliance with marine warranty requirements, class rules, and project specifications.
The position requires strong offshore marine experience, coordination skills, and regular interaction with client, contractors, and classification societies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) activities for offshore operations.
- Review and approve marine procedures, methodologies, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with Classification Society on surveys, inspections, and technical compliance.
- Act as the interface between client, contractors, and class for marine-related matters.
- Participate in HAZID / HAZOP and technical review meetings related to marine operations.
- Monitor offshore and nearshore marine activities to ensure procedural compliance.
- Issue reports, technical notes, and recommendations to client and project team.
- Support safe execution of marine operations in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in offshore marine operations, FLNG/FPSO projects, or marine warranty surveying.
- Previous experience as Marine Warranty Surveyor is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of classification rules, offshore marine standards, and international regulations.
- Experience coordinating with Class Societies and offshore contractors.
- Resident-based availability in South Korea.
- Strong reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
- English proficiency (spoken and written).
