RINA is currently recruiting for a Technology Innovation and Strategy Junior Consultant - Categorie Protette 68/99 to join its office in Genova within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.
Mission
We are looking for a Technology Innovation and Strategy Junior Consultant, registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99, to join our team. The Junior Consultant joins the team as an active contributor to project delivery, working under the guidance of Senior Consultants/Technical Coordinators and reporting to the Head of Technology Innovation, Strategy & Roadmapping. The person will take part in the engagements they are assigned to by carrying out analytical activities (data collection and analysis, desk research, structuring of findings and preparation of deliverables) while progressively learning the team's methodologies and building familiarity with the sectors and clients served. #LI-FS1
Key Accountabilities
The role is hands-on and analytical. The person is expected to take ownership of the tasks entrusted to them, to work with rigour and attention to the quality of outputs, and to contribute ideas for improving how the team delivers, from tools and templates to ways of working.In particular, the person in this role will contribute to management consulting projects in the following areas:
- Technology scenario analysis, market analysis and trend identification, value chain analysis, technology scouting, KPI definition, benchmarking and implementation roadmaps;
- Supply chain optimisation, supplier scouting and benchmarking;
- Process optimisation;
- Business Continuity Plan;
- Support to subsidised finance schemes (e.g. IPCEI, Innovation Fund, PNRR) from application to compliance during the project execution phase;
- EU-funded R&D projects (e.g. Horizon Europe, LIFE).
Education
Qualifications
- Mandatory requirement: Registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato)
- Previous internship or academic project experience in consulting, business analysis, process improvement, or related areas is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and ability to interpret business data.
- Familiarity with process mapping techniques (e.g., BPMN, flowcharts) and documentation.
- Understanding of emerging technologies and their business applications.
- Awareness of sustainability concepts, carbon footprint assessment, and environmental impact analysis is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Italian

Compensation Data
The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €30.000 and €35.000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
