RINA is currently recruiting for a Technology Innovation, Strategy and Roadmapping Consultant - Categorie Protette 68/99 - Categorie Protette 68/99 to join its office in Genoa, to join its office in Genoa within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.​ 

Mission

The Consultant takes on a leadership position within the team, with responsibility for the technical management of projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology Innovation, Strategy & Roadmapping, they oversee the technical progress of the engagements they are assigned to: framing the client's problem, structuring the analytical approach, coordinating the contributions of the consultants involved, and ensuring the quality and consistency of the deliverables.

Depending on the project, the role ranges from hands-on analytical work to technical coordination and internal reference point. They also act as a technical counterpart for the client and contribute to proposal preparation and business development. 

In particular, the person in this role will work on and coordinate management consulting projects in the following areas:

  • Technology scenario analysis, market analysis and trend identification, value chain analysis, technology scouting, KPI definition, benchmarking and implementation roadmaps;
  • Supply chain optimisation, supplier scouting and benchmarking;
  • Process optimisation;
  • Business Continuity Plan;
  • Support to subsidised finance schemes (e.g. IPCEI, Innovation Fund, PNRR) from application to compliance during the project execution phase;
  • EU-funded R&D projects (e.g. Horizon Europe, LIFE).

Key Accountabilities

1. Project Delivery

  • Manage the technical execution of assigned consulting projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline and budget.
  • Coordinate the consultants working on the project and help them integrate contributions into a consistent final output.
  • Contribute directly to the analytical work where required by the nature and size of the project.

2. Technical Quality

  • Ensure the methodological soundness and quality of analyses, deliverables and client presentations.
  • Act as internal technical reference point for the team on assigned projects.

3. Client Management

  • Act as technical counterpart for the client throughout the engagement, managing day-to-day interactions and expectations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders.

4. Proposals and Business Development

  • Support the Head of Discipline in the preparation of technical proposals, including scoping, methodology definition and effort estimation.
  • Identify opportunities for follow-on work within existing client relationships.

5. Team Development

  • Mentor junior consultants on assigned projects, supporting their technical and professional growth. #LI-SC1 

Education

Master’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

  • Mandatory requirement: Registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato)
  • 4-6 years of experience in management consulting, or in a corporate role (e.g. R&D, innovation, strategy, technology) involving work on multiple projects in parallel.
  • Experience in coordinating project activities and resources, managing deadlines and interfacing with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to present analytical outputs effectively and concisely, tailoring the level of detail to different audiences up to senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex and poorly defined problems.
  • Technical or engineering background, enabling a solid understanding of the technological content of the projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English.
  • Experience in client relationship management.

Will be considered a Plus:

  • Experience with EU-funded R&D programmes or subsidised finance schemes (e.g. Horizon Europe, IPCEI, PNRR).
  • Experience in state-of-the-art and desk research: analysis of scientific literature, technical and market reports, patents, and open-source information, with the ability to synthesise fragmented sources into a coherent picture.
  • Experience in mentoring or coordinating junior consultants.Familiarity with one or more of the sectors covered by the team.

Compensation Data

Compensation & BenefitsThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).

The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €35,000 and €45,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.

The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
