RINA is currently recruiting for a System Consultant to join its office in Genova/ Roma within the Division.
Mission
The System Consultant acts as a technical and managerial advisor supporting clients in the evaluation, supervision, and management of complex system development programs. The consultant ensures that proposed solutions meet contractual and technical requirements, oversees the V&V process, manages Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Non-Conformances (NCs), and contributes to project planning and coordination. The role combines deep technical understanding with system-level oversight and stakeholder management.
Key Accountabilities
Client Support & Technical Supervision
- Support the client in assessing design solutions and ensuring compliance with mission and contractual requirements.
- Review and validate engineering documentation, analyses, and verification plans from contractors or suppliers.
Project Planning & Coordination
- Contribute to the definition and tracking of system development schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate between client, subcontractors, and technical teams to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables.
Verification, Validation & Quality Oversight
- Supervise the V&V process to ensure traceability and completeness of testing activities.
- Manage ECPs, Non-Conformances, and deviations to ensure appropriate corrective actions.
- Support test readiness reviews, design reviews, and acceptance reviews.
Risk & Performance Management
- Identify programmatic and technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and monitor follow-up actions.
- Provide independent assessments of system performance and compliance status.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and decision summaries for client review.
- Ensure proper documentation of all system engineering and quality assurance activities.
Education
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in fields related to complex systems projects and development, preferably in oversight or consultancy roles.
- Understanding of contract management, ECP/NC handling, and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Familiarity with industrial standards, project lifecycle, and configuration control processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interface effectively with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making under time and cost constraints.
- Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.

Compensation Data
Compensation & BenefitsThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
The gross annual salary range foreseen is between € 34,000.00 and € 44,000.00 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
