RINA is currently recruiting for a Site Operation Specialist - Instrument QA/QC Specialist to join its team in Venezia within the Energy Project Solutions Division.​

Mission

For a major industrial project in the refining and energy transition sector, we are looking for a Site Operation Specialist - Instrumentation QA/QC Inspector to join our team.

The successful candidate will be based on site in Venice and will be responsible for quality control and inspection activities related to the installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems and equipment, ensuring full compliance with project requirements, applicable standards, and quality specifications.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform inspections and quality checks on instrumentation installation activities.Monitor the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Verify the proper execution of testing and commissioning activities.
  • Manage punch lists, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Review technical documentation and quality dossiers to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, and field testing activities, when required.
  • Interface with Construction, Commissioning, HSE, and Contractors to coordinate quality-related activities.
  • Support the preparation of final handover documentation.

Education

High School Diploma/GED in General Studies/Other

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Instrumentation QA/QC roles within Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Refining, or Process Industry projects.
  • Knowledge of international standards and quality requirements applicable to industrial plants.
  • Proven experience in the inspection (Field instrumentation, Analyzers, Junction Boxes, PLC, DCS, and ESD systems, Cabling and Loop checks).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including P&IDs, Hook-ups, Loop Diagrams, Instrument Indexes, and Data Sheets.
  • Good Command of the English language.

Previous experience in refining, biorefining, or petrochemical facilities, QA/QC or Inspection certifications and knowledge of ATEX regulations will be considered a plus.
