RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join its office in Genoa, Rozzano or Rome within the Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division.
Mission
As a Senior Environmental Consultant at RINA Consulting S.p.A., you will take the lead in assessing and mitigating environmental risks related to diverse energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects. Your role will involve delivering a range of permitting services, conducting in-depth environmental studies, monitoring environmental indicators, and ensuring compliance with Italian and European regulations and Project Financing standards.

Key Accountabilities
Your key accountabilities as a Senior Environmental Consultant will include:
- Leading and overseeing comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment Studies for various projects, focusing on analyzing air quality, water resources, and biodiversity.
- Conducting Environmental and Social Due Diligence assessments to identify and address risks related to projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilizing advanced modeling techniques to analyze pollutant dispersion and deposition patterns, offering expert recommendations for mitigation.
- Developing tailored strategies to address environmental and social risks, collaborating closely with project teams and interdisciplinary professionals.
- Preparing detailed reports for stakeholders, supporting Project Financing activities, and participating in international travel for site visits and assessments.
- Providing project management support by monitoring budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure compliance and timely project completion.
Education
Qualifications
To qualify for the role of Senior Environmental Consultant, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering as a foundation, with a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering being advantageous
- +5 years of previous experience in environmental assessment methodologies
- Expertise in utilizing advanced modeling techniques for pollutant analysis, knowledge of international environmental standards, and experience in developing mitigation strategies
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring environmental considerations are integrated throughout project lifecycles
- An ability to travel internationally as necessary and provide leadership in project management tasks
- Fluency in English
