RINA is currently recruiting for a Real Time Sw Embedded Engineer to join its office in Genoa within the Operating Engine Division.​

Mission

We are looking for a Real Time SW Embedded Engineer to support advanced development activities within a mission-critical and safety-critical environment, contributing to innovative embedded platforms and technology demonstrators.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of embedded software components and service-oriented infrastructures.
  • Support integration of software modules within complex HW/SW systems, including interaction with virtualization layers and operating systems.
  • Assist in the development of deterministic and high-reliability execution frameworks for mission-critical applications.
  • Collaborate in integrating software on platforms leveraging real-time and non-real-time operating systems.
  • Perform software porting and adaptation activities across different execution environments and system architectures.
  • Support performance evaluation and benchmarking, including analysis of latency, determinism, and resource utilization.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including design descriptions, test reports, and integration artifacts.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Master’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of:
    • Embedded C/C++ programming
    • RTOS concepts and Linux environments
    • Software integration and debugging techniques
    • Version control systems (e.g., Git)

 

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with:
    • Hypervisors (especially Lynx Secure or Wind River Helix)
    • Virtualization in embedded systems
    • Real-time constraints and deterministic systems
  • Knowledge of avionics or safety-critical systems (e.g., DO-178C concepts)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).

The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €35,000 and €42,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
