RINA is currently recruiting for a Products & Railway Class A Systems Safety Assessment and Certification Junior Assessor to join its office in Genova, Italy within the Transport & Infrastructure Certification Division.
Mission
The role focuses on performing independent safety assessment and EC Certification activities (execution of activities and reports) within the railway environment as well as Laboratory tests on signalling products and susystems #LI-DC2
Key Accountabilities
Assessment and Validation Support
Support the execution of assessment and validation activities for railway projects, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, applicable legislation, and industry standards.
Delivery Assurance
Contribute to the timely and effective delivery of assessment and verification plans under the guidance of an Assessor or Senior Assessor.
Project Support
Actively support project activities to achieve high-quality results within established timelines, contributing to the successful attainment of project objectives.
Compliance and Standards
Carry out assigned tasks in full alignment with internal procedures, accreditation requirements, relevant legislation, and recognized industry standards.
Knowledge Development and Sharing
Assist in the development of technical expertise and contribute to the effective transfer of knowledge across the organization.
Client Feedback and Continuous Improvement
Analyze client feedback and provide recommendations to support continuous improvement of service quality and delivery.
Project Management Support
Assist in project management activities, including monitoring project progress and providing operational support as needed.
Design Verification Support
Support design verification activities, including:

Education
Qualifications
0–2 years of experience in assessment, auditing, or inspection within the railway sector or related industries (including internships or entry-level roles). Exposure to railway regulations, safety management systems, or quality assurance in the transportation sector is considered an advantage.
Basic understanding of railway systems and operations (e.g., signaling, track infrastructure, rolling stock), along with familiarity with railway safety standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EN, UIC, ERA) is a plus.
Ability to support assessment and validation activities, including contributing to project-related evaluations, with a good understanding of technical documentation and reporting, ensuring accurate recording of activities and outcomes.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify compliance issues or deviations from applicable standards.
Fluent in written and spoken English, essential for effective communication in an international environment.
Valid Category B driving license, with willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Compensation Data
The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €31,000 and €38,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.
In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
