RINA is currently recruiting for a Products & Railway Class A Systems Safety Assessment and Certification & Railway Certification Labor to join its office in Genova, Italy within the Transport & Infrastructure Certification Division.
Mission
The role focuses on performing independent safety assessment and EC Certification activities (execution of activities and reports) within the railway environment. #LI-DC2
Key Accountabilities
The Railway Signalling Senior Assessor role is pivotal in ensuring that railway signalling systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry regulations. This position entails a unique focus on performing assessments and EC Certification activities specifically tailored to the railway signalling environment, contributing to the advancement of safety and operational efficiency in rail transport.
In this role, you will actively engage in executing essential tasks as a key member of Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) teams. You will also play a vital role in the European Certification process in line with TSI-CCS 2023/1695/EU standards, ensuring the thorough testing of both trackside and onboard signalling products for various projects at both national and international levels.
Education
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in conducting assessments, validation processes, and audits within the railway sector is essential.
- A robust background in the design, operation, and maintenance of railway signalling systems, with an emphasis on compliance with relevant regulatory standards, is highly beneficial.
- A proven track record in preparing and executing detailed assessment reports that align with industry standards and meet organizational requirements is crucial.
- Experience with safety management systems (SMS) and quality assurance practices specifically within the railway environment is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of railway regulations, standards, and certification processes (including UIC, ERA, and EN standards) is required.
- A solid understanding of safety protocols and quality control measures related to railway systems and operations is necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and assess technical systems, infrastructure, and operational processes within the railway sector is important.
- High proficiency in report writing and the capability to present complex technical information in a clear and structured manner is expected.
- Knowledge of risk management, compliance assessments, and performance evaluations in the context of railway operations is crucial.
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory for effective communication in this role.
- A Type B Driving License is also required for this position, allowing for travel to various project sites as needed.
