RINA is currently recruiting for a Power Storage Solutions Engineer to join its office in Milan, Rome, Genoa, Lecce - Italy within the Green Energy Solutions Division.

Mission

This role mainly focuses on providing Owner's Engineering Services and Independent Engineering Services related to BESS and renewable energy projects within Italy and Southeast Europe. You will be expected to travel approximately 10% of your time.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review of resource availability studies (wind and solar), technology studies and structural studies; review of electrical design projects, contractual documentation and environmental studies; review of permitting, health & safety reports, grid offers and connection agreements;
  • Execution of feasibility studies as well as preliminary design of BESS and renewable power plants;
  • Project Management activities, such as proactive communication with clients, with the internal team and with the stakeholders 
  • Support in the preparation of proposals and reports
  • Support in the preparation and management of tendering, negotiation and selection of contractors and key component provider
  • Support in the preparation and management of BoP, O&M, or EPC planning condition and contracts discharging
  • Conduction of on site visit inspections and production of reports

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Having an electrical engineering background or any experience of electrical design would be advantageous (in particular if gained in Engineering & Consultancy Company or in an EPC Contractor)
  • Proficiency with AutoCad and PVcase
  • Over 8 years renewable energy experience in either solar PV or wind and at least 2 years in BESS is essential
  • Experience of renewable permitting process would be advantageous
  • Previous experience working for an Engineering & Consultancy Firm or an EPC Contractor would be beneficial
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English is essential
